Apps Paid Reviews

Does anyone have any experience with paid placements for reviews?

I'm thinking about it for the linked content, search indexing and other benefits and was wondering if anyone here could share their experiences good or bad with a paid-placement review used to market your apps.

What kinda reviews do you mean? Reviews in the Android Market or from a website?

Honestly I wouldnt pay for either. But that's just me. Paid reviews in the Android market is against the dev agreement too, which could get your entire account yanked.

But I'm thinking you're talking about websites. *shrug* I dunno, I feel there are a lot of other great marketing tips out there that would help. I wouldn't want to feed predatory "review" sites. If you have to pay there is an automatic conflict of interest. As a consumer I wouldn't take any review like that seriously.

Giving away some free copies of your app/game to review sites is good though.
