Help Panorama Camera mode help.

So I was messing around with panorama mode and after I took the pictures it says Stitching captures for about 30 seconds and then disappears and I have no picture. Anybody know whats going on here I've tried switching storage locations but that didn't do anything either.
 
Did you put in Panorama mode, start taking a picture (push button), then move the phone consistently to the left/right or up/down?

Don't push the button for the next photos, I think it dings every time it adds another photo. It will only do 4-5 together. Move the phone smoothly and slowly.

I tried it a while to get it down. A default landscape mode panorama generates only a 5000x500 image. I tried holding it portrait to do a landscape panorama, but you don't get a huge image, just a wider field of view than normal.
