Root Paranoid android updates

I've only had my nexus 4 for 3 days but I rooted it , unlocked the boot loader, and put paranoid android on it. I'm getting push notifications that I can download and install the newest beta, is this safe to do without a computer?

OK well I tried it, no luck. I guess I gotta flash through wug.
Do you have custom recovery installed (I think TWRP is required for Paranoid Android updates)? It should work, but in general, if you are not a "flashaholic" you should shy away from beta versions and stay with stable builds.

Wug's toolkit is nice, but I wouldn't recommend it for flashing after rooting and installing custom recovery... you should know how to do it manually (it's simple) in case something goes wrong.

Yhea I'm coming from lg motion so flashing was a bit different. Um is there a walkthrough manual flash guide u could link me?

Here's a good walkthrough: http://androidforums.com/android-sy...e-how-flash-nexus-factory-image-manually.html

Also, the only current Paranoid Android releases do have the Beta label - that's only because they don't have the full set of features (Hybrid engine, Halo, etc) that it used to. They are absolutely perfectly stable for daily use, so don't be shy! I've been running them since Beta1 and have had zero issues.

I generally let the Paranoid OTA app download the updates, but I manually install them via TWRP. Let me know if you need help getting pointed in that direction. :)

that walkthru is for flashing factory images which is a lot different than just flashing a regular rom update.
youll definitly need a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
i prefer cwm over twrp as it seems to be more stable and less buggy than twrp for me.
