Agree with you, it's not really a sport and I will never use that term for parkour/free running/tricking, but I will say some of them is world class athletes which makes a difference. Best way to describe what they are doing is "Discipline" and not more really.

Another thing I also like to point out, if you ask countless of people around in those diciplines about this being a sport, you will most likely get a no - since they are rather trying to improve themselves all the time, not get better that the other guy/female.

Though I do admit it's in borderline of definition of extreme sports.

agreed^ it is close to an "extreme sport" by those definitions but there are also a lot of "extreme sports" that arent really sports either, i.e. base jumping, and stuff like that

Yeah, exactly - That is my thinking as well. Chess is much closer to a sport then what this thread will be.
