Partial loss of Fn when T Mob.LGG2(d801) switched to Cricket

Had a perfectly functioning LG G2 from TMobile, switched over to Cricket last month (better coverage, way better data plan); put in the Cricket sim-no dice! Needed to unlock the G2-too late to get the free TMob. unlock from the company [already stopped svc.]; so, went online & paid up the $13.99 to get code-IT SEEMED TO WORK, G2 screen showed "unlocked" msg. when (1 of 2) codes put in...
PUT IN CRICKET SIM & it worked at the Cricket store...SOON, was getting intermittent service, calls dropped, no calls received, WIFI stopped riunning. Took back to Cricket store, they changed some numbers in their computer, worked again, FOR A SHORT WHILE!? back to intermittent functionality!
WTF?????

Do I need to only use the LGG2 back only on TMob [hate to go back]; sell the phone or what?? No one seems to know whats going on (esp. Me)!

In other threads, it was mentioned that AT&T disables LTE in non-AT&T devices. So you have to call them to have them input your IMEI of your phone to allow it. Not sure how Cricket handles it themselves.

Most threads say your D801 should have all the LTE bands for AT&T

801
GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UTMS I/II/IV/V, LTE 2, 4, 17

800
GSM 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS 850/1900/2100, LTE 850/1900/700/AWS

I think the Cricket store adjusted the IMEI & it worked perfectly in the store after that, but by the time I got home, the functions again became crapped out; no wifi, outgoing calls worked, but no incoming etc.?! I went back & fort with my landline & LGG2 & it was spotty to say the best!
Seems like even if 4gLTE stopped, the 3g would take over for at least decent service!

I would call Cricket or try their online chat. They probably know more than the store employees. There's probably a reset they can do on their end. Also, maybe the grey-market unlock code didn't fully work?

The no wifi I think indicates you may have more of a problem than with the service. Whether or not you are able to make calls on Cricket, wifi should work. I think I would try a factory reset.

Just did the reset, cleared all ba k to basics & VOILA, GOT MY WI-FI BACK! CAN NOW MAKE & RECEIVE CALLS, get texts, msgs etc; BUT STILL NO CRICKET SERVICE w/o WiFi!
Tried to reunlock the LG again, but I guess the initial unlock procedure still is in effect.
