i just bought a 32gb card, and wanted to know if anyone could point me to t atutorial for partition? so that i can install apps there too. I was fooling around with clockwork recovery options but the max ext size was 4gb. and the rest i didnt understand, and an error came out and didnt let me partitioned it, I want to use the max memory from this card

If there's a way to partition it with clockwork recovery and 4gb is a good size for ext please let me know too. Because i dont understand about the ext size, is that the size i will be able to use to install apps?

Also will i have any problems with MIUI not validating my installed apps on the sd card?

thanks!

You don't need to partition the card to move apps to the sd, just go into the application manager and you can move apps to the sd from there.

i forgto to clarify that for some reason the galaxy s2, has an internal sd which is identified as a external sd and that is why i cannot install anything to SD, everything stays in the phone, that is why im thinking on partitioning

Since most people on here are SGSII owners, we are well aware of the memory set-up of the phone.

However, can I correct your statement that the SGSII internal memory is identified as external sd.

The Internal Memory is the 2GB that is used by app's.

The SDCard is the built-in memory of the SGSII at around 11.8GB.

The External SDCard is the removable sd card.

On app's such as Astro File Manager and Android System Info, this is the naming convention that they follow.

Hope this helps. :D

so basically when you move apps to sd from app manager, you are basically moving them to the built-in? if this is correct, is there a way to move them to external? example Link2sd work?

Not that I am aware of, as with 2GB of Internal memory and almost 12GB of SD card memory you have nearly 14GB of app storage already. I guess that Samsung thought that this was enough.

Besides which, certain app's, such as widgets, need to remain on the Internal memory to operate correctly.

Primarily, the External SD Card is for Music, Photo's, Videos, Documentation.
