First of all Party Time is a great ROM, and its not either sckboy or superboys fault that MMS doesnt work on Boost. Heres why. I flash about 15 phones a week so this fix is nothing new to me. In fact the only reason I didnt notice it not working was because I dont generally use MMS, but since I bricked my other phone I been testing the flashed phones MMS with the Rush. What let it slip even more was the fact that this is not a flashed phone but a Boost Brand on Boosts Network.
The problem as to why is simple, we are running a port of the Reverb and we have Virgin Mobiles APNs configured. Easy fix right. No. Back in the days of GB and earlier you could configure your APNs right out the system menu, or with a variety of 3rd party apps. Google, however decided for 4.0 forward, that we wouldno longer be able to configure our own APNs. So, heres the workaround I use every day(mainly) and havent had any issues.
1) Get Titanium Backup
2) Get APN Manager PRO(which was at one time free I think) but costs a dollar something now, a dollars cheap to have your APN working and MMS
3) Convert APN Manager Pro into system app
4) Run APN Manager Pro and either configure the Virgin Mobile or create a Boost, regardless add only these settings
Name: BoostMobile
APN: MMS
Proxy:
Port:
User Name: BoostMobile
Password:
Server:
MMSC: http://mm.myboostmobile.com
MMS Proxy: 68.28.31.7
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 00
APN Type:
Now save and enable, your MMS should now work
