Help Password on Gmail account ?

Me and my wife each have a Gmail account on this tablet. There is now password on our accounts, and it is possibly to read both account if we want to.

I would really like to put a password on my account, so the my wife or some guest using the tablet don't have the chance of reading my mails. Is it possibly some how ?

Maybe two step authentication would help? Google has it, try it out.
