Help Pattern Unlock not working?

I went in to my phone to set up the pattern unlock tonight, but after I made the pattern and established the security settings, I can still slide to unlock without having to enter the pattern password. I don't think I am doing anything wrong but...is anyone else having this issue?

Make sure you set it up to use lock immediately. There is a setting for that somewhere
