Pay full price and choose phone company?

Not that I would, but if I wanted to, say, pay full price for a captivate, could I sign up with Verizon, or is that not possible? Just curious.

here in the states no. verizon operates off of CDMA, where as att and tmobile are GSM. unfortunately CDMA and GSM dont play nice together. if you like the captivate wait a while for the Samsung fascinate, its the verizon Galaxy S phone.

That's a GSM phone, right? So you can't run it on Verizon's CDMA network.

You're right. I put Samsung Captivate in the search bar and it came back with Galaxy for some reason. I stand corrected.

Nope, the closest thing you could get is the Samsung Fascinate when that releases on Verizon.
