Help PC/Phone interface

Hi, I'm trying to find an app to access ALL the data on my phone not just what's available with 'MTP'
The app or software I'm looking for would be installed on the PC (may also need an app on phone). It would allow all file actions (edit, copy, transfer, delete, create, etc...) on all media files (photos, music, videos, etc...), all contacts, txt (typing txt from PC not essential), emails, etc... full backups (not just user data) as an 'image' for later restore in case of stuff-up (like Acronis TrueImage does for PC's)
My phone is a: ZTE blade v993w
My PC has Windows xp pro, also on other pc's Windows 7 pro, Linux mint 17.3
I found plenty apps that do the opposite? (control PC from phone) that's not what I'm looking for
I google search found the following:
Coolmuster - Android assistant, Wondershare - Mobilego, and Androidsoft - Mobilego (those 2 last ones seem to be the same app, although the screenshots and version numbers are different?) They are all commercial products for a fee! I would prefer a free app
My questions are:
Are there any free (or just a few $) app that can do what I want? any personal experience with them (good or bad)?
Can any of those apps also access root files?
As an USB connection, my phone also has 'USB Storage' if I select that my PC can't see the phone at all? According to phone instructions, with this option Win xp is supposed to see the phone as an external HDD?

None. You need to have your phone rooted first before you can see everything. Then you can't connect your phone to access everything in the way you want because that would mean 2 OS are accessing the drive with total control, which would break one of them. Windows cannot access the drive fully without Android on, and Android can't turn on if Windows is having full access over the storage.

You may have taken my ALL too literally. By ALL I mean the 'DATA' not the OS files. I know I need root access to get access to the OS files. I also understand that windows and android can not access the same file AT THE SAME TIME. I be only ever working on the data files in Windows OR Android not both at the same time. The process is just like accessing files over a 'Network' If a file is open on one computer, it can not be opened on an other computer (unless its on a database).
What I would like to know is if anybody has any opinion/recommendation about applications like 'Coolmuster - Android Assistant' or 'Wondershare - Mobilego' (there is also 'Kies' for Samsung) and any others that are free or cheaper. Thanks
