Help PC Sync problems with wildfire

Hi,
I recently bought HTC wildfire. But when I try to connect it to the PC using HTC suite. It gives error message that it cannot find any HTC sync software on the PC. But the HTC sync suite is already running on the PC.

Hmm try re-install htc sync on the PC maybe?

Did you select HTC Sync on the phone by any chance dude?

Uninstall and reinstall the latest version of HTC Sync, but this time disconnect from the internet before reinstalling. Windows can try to download the wrong driver for the phone.

I recently got a Wildfire and I had the same problem.
Go to (on your phone) Settings > Applications > Development. Then make sure the USB De-bugging is turned on, then it works.
It solved the problem for me!
 
didnt work for me at first then i just
Ran htc sysnc on pc
Connected phone
Picked HTC sync from drop down menu
( didnt work )
Take cable out put it back in and try again
Worked.
