It still boils down to choice/opinion.

Honestly, I couldn't care less how Apple fans feel about their iDevices or how they feel about Android. I couldn't care less if Android copies features from Apple. I couldn't care less if Apple copied features from Android. I couldn't care less if Apple disappeared from the face of the Earth.

I have an Android. I like what I have. Sometimes I'm disappointed on how the majority of the internet/stores caters to the iPhone. Sometimes I'm disappointed on how apps get developed exclusively for the iPhone, or the Android version is due out sometime later this year. But I've tried iOS. It's not my thing. So here I am, with a device that runs Android.

I'm about to purchase my second Android device. If some Apple fanboy ever asks me why I don't have an iPhone, I'll tell him: I don't like iPhones. If he calls me an Android fanboy, I'll tell him that I'm not trying to push my device on someone else, like those door-to-door religious people who try to convert people to their church/cult. And then continue to tap happily away at my Android device.

I agree with all those 5 reasons as well. Nice find, OP.

I went from an iPhone 4 to a Desire HD and immediately fell in love with it. Just the idea that there's so many devices to choose from is nice. When you shop for an iPhone, you don't shop. You just... get, because there aren't any choices (even between 3GS and 4. Same thing, just mildly upgraded. Still the same iOS).

Not to diss the iPhone by any means. I've had iPhones for years and liked them all but as soon as I got my first Android and played with the widgets, apps and many other features, I fell in love.

It still boils down to choice/opinion.
This is true, though.

I didn't choose Android for my first every smartphone. I got a Symbian instead of the iPhone for many of those reasons stated in the article. That article should be 5 reasons to not consider iPhone. My main personal reasons for to not consider the iPhone is for the GPS navigation and for a hardware keyboard.
