PCD venture

I just used that as an example. I capitalized the letter because when I quoted it I wanted it capitalized, I wasn't correcting you so calm down...

The only time I had errors was when I was TRYING to get CWMr working, after I reset it to stock it ws fixed then I flashed it & *poof, magic* it worked :D
 
ya, thats what i was refferring to. there was corruption of the recovery partition that required a reflash.
 
No... this happened BEFORE I even flashed CWMr. That was the reason I decided to flash the recovery... I was having said problem BEFORE I did it. After I did it I had NO issues...

Now, if were done arguing about this Im sure the board would appreciate less clutter
 
sorry, i was mistaken dude. i thought u had the same errors. im not trying to argue, just trying to further development on this phone. u dont always have to push the flasher utility tho. all of that has already been discussed in the recovery thread. i always tell people to read the ENTIRE recovery thread before trying ANYTHING. if the conclusion they come to is using the flasher utility, so be it. truce?
 
I wasnt pushing it, Id say a made a good argument for both sides. I said: "If you wanna have a bigger knowledge about the android system in general I'd follow the steps on the first page of the thread but if you just wanna get it done w/o learning I'd recommend the instructions on page 3 of the same thread."

Sounds like I gave an objective opinion about BOTH to me...

Whodawadda? Rps, I'm running into the same problem too. MSG keeps popping up. I would say GREAT information, but the directions given are complicating as hell. It's like a hippo and peanut butter. Slap that on some pork, deep fry it and throw ice cream all over it. Sprinkle some nuts on that and eat it kind of thing. What does pork and hippos and peanut butter with nuts has to do with anything? Terminology is throwing me off, yo. Help.

*disclaimer* IF you DONT use CWM recovery one way or another and try to use something like "rom manager" worst case scenario you will brick you phone beyond repair, best case it wont work and you will have to do our method anyhow.

Ok, so I just used those instructions to install Harmonia. I got the red "Hello" and then a blank screen, it never booted. I restored from a backup and it's working fine on that. Did I do something wrong or is Harmonia broken?
 
some people have had trouble flashing harmonia and others. my roms have the updater script changed which seems to bypass the errors for some reason. run harmonia thru dsixdas kitchen, rebuild, and try again. if u dont have the tools, i could do it for u and upload. let me know.
 
im thinking there is mass corruption when it comes to internal storage on the ventures, but i cant be sure.

I haven't used dsixda's Kitchen but I'm going to now. Its thread on XDA-Developers doesn't include the Venture in the list of supported models. Is there anything Venture-specific I need to do, or just follow the instructions there as if it was in the list?
 
u dont need to do anything special. just follow instructions. build a working folder from a rom, make sure to convert the updater-script when it asks, and rebuild the rom with option 99. i suggest using the kitchen in linux, not cygwin via windows. ive had issues trying with cygwin. good luck
