PDA net vs. easy tether

Just got my Evo a few hours ago. I have read a lot of threads about these two apps and everybody seems to like them both. Can you guys give me some pros and cons of each so I can figure out which one I should download?

I encourage you to consider and try Easy Tether at $9.99 versus pdaNET at double the $ amount. Easy Tether works well, easy to set-up, will give you tethered internet access.

I might mention that both Easy Tether and pdaNET have FREE versions. These FREE versions will give you tethered internet access but are limited in that you cannot access https sites. (i.e. financial websites and other https sites) Try/test before you buy!

Probably the single most reason is if the user is heavily into texting..... Example: Sending and receiving text messages say in regard to their job. Having SMS pop up on the screen of your computer is a nice feature of PdaNet so you can remain on your computer and answer a text quickly. This SMS ability is not there when you use Easy Tether. For the majority the SMS ability is a mute point/not a requirement.

Suggestion: Save yourself about $10 by going with Easy Tether unless of course you need SMS ability and then would want to go with pdaNET. Of course, if you do not need to access secure, https sites then go with a Free version of either pdaNET or Easy Tether.

For MAC computer you must go with pdaNET.
