How can you remove a file from the PDF viewer? I called and spoke to someone at htc and when I was done they could not help and wiped out all of my contacts. any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
PDF files are saved to your SD card. You should be able to go view the SD card files with ASTRO or by connecting to your computer. From ASTRO, you can long press on the PDF and delete it. From the USB, mount the card, open the folder and delete the file.

My PDF files are saved in the folder named "Downloads"
 
I am unable to save a PDF attached to an email onto my SD card. I have tried the long hold, nothing. How are we to save files that come attached to email to our Eris?
 
I believe that you cannot save attachments via Gmail, instead you can only preview them.

If that is your problem (that you are using the Gmail email client) then configure the Mail app with w.e account you like. Then access the email on the Mail app and you will have the option to Download.

Annoying? yes...
