Pebble Watch Backers' Palace

No it's not a watering hole, per se. Just a place where we can discuss the anticipation of getting a Pebble.
Did you back one? What are you looking forward to doing with it?
I backed one back before the locked up the Kickstarter. Should be a lot of fun. Never really used a BT device before (aside from the keyboard for my N7). Interested in seeing how far I can go from my phone. Also what developers may be able to utilize it for.
Latest info isn't super promising though.

yeah i just heard about it. it looks like a really cool idea. its crazy how much was backed up for this project and how much was sold already. i hope they are able to find a way to increase production for it as i'm sure that when it does get realesed to the wild and reviews start to come in for it, demand will be high if not already.........i kind of want one now.

They do have plenty of funds, that's for sure.
I believe their goal was $100k and they raised more than a million!
I'm not holding my breath, but would be nice to get it by the end of February.

LMAO at "madeinchina.com". :)
I think the major draw is both the open SDK and the e-ink display allowing for great all around visibility and battery life. That, and I guess just the hype about it. The Motorola and Sony watches are supposed to be pretty good but the former (I think) requires a companion Moto phone whereas the Pebble can be used with any Android and that fruit phone as well.
