peer to peer Socket Programming

Hi All,
I am new to Java-android peer to peer programming.i want to check how sockets work on android,i have created a project that consists of a drag-able image and ran it on two instances of the android emulator,when i drag the image on the first instance i want it to update its position on the second emulator instance and move it to its new position.I'd appreciate any help possible.Thank you all
