Pen paint

I bought a spare white S-pen for the purpose and I'm after advice on painting it flourescent orange in the hopes of mislaying it less frequently. I'm thinking acrylic paint keeping clear of the button.

Why not just turn on the setting that informs you if your pen is too far away from your phone?

Right. It's on and it really doesn't help. It never tells me WHERE the d*mn pen is - only that it isn't there any more.

Mine notifies me If I move 5 steps away, so I always know it's within 10 feet or so. Each to their own I suppose, maybe because I have the white note 3 (not sure whether you have the black one, and thus a black pen originally) it's easier to see. Maybe instead of paint, different colours of tape or stickers would be better. Making it multi coloured should make it stand out more.

Yes Simon I wouldn't paint it. I don't know if the Note 3 S-pen holder is exposed to the electronics inside or is just a sealed end tube, but there is a risk of any paint flaking off inside there, surely?

Yeah. I use tape bands on things like cable releases (and some tools) which are easily lost in the field but I'm sure they would foul on the S-pen which is a snug fit.

I used a permanent marker in flourescent orange in the end and it took it fine. Seems to be OK and now pretty well matches my UAG case. Hopefully I'll be able to find the S-pen more easily now.

I've been trying since the note 2 to adopt the habit of putting it back as soon as I'm not using it.
Ask me when the note 4 hits how well that's been working out for me. LOL
