People are getting texts from me 3-4 hours after I'm sending them...

Does anyone else have this issue? I'll send a friend a pic at 8 Pm and they'll get woken up at 2am with a text from me... What's causing this? I use textra and stock text app


Eta: another issue I'm dealing with is... When I try to text someone a screen cap picture it usually tells them pic is too big and doesn't let them receive it.. Is this an iPhone thing?
 
It could be. iPhone is srill marching to the beat of its own fifer. One of these days they'll figure out that the rest of the world is marching to the beat of a drummer. And if you leave the iPhone world, but in the wrong order, you can wait for your messages ... forever.

no and then .. have that issue too.
his phone gets text from others.. hours.. sometimes days after people send them
 
at first I thought it was a carrier thing.. I was on sprint.. he was on ATT.

I recently moved on to his plan.. on ATT.
but he still has issues getting my text.
he has noticed that others peoples text are also sometimes late.
even from other iphone users.

I don't remember ever have issues getting text late.
 
If you didn't deactivate your phone number from iMessages, your messages might be trying to get sent as iMessages and then after hours of not getting through, it sends as a regular text message. Go to Apple's website and log in and remove your phone number from iMessages and if that doesn't work after a day try calling Apple and having it removed manually by an agent.
