Root Perfect ROM for LG LS720

SpiritOTG

Newbie
Alright, I am looking for the perfect custom ROM and Kernal combo for the LG LS720 Optimus F3 with the following:

  • Android 4.1.2
  • Baseband M8930B-AAAATAZM-3.2.2471
  • Kernel 3.4.0
  • Build JZ054K
  • Version LGLS720ZV8
My phone is rooted using it Root software (originally vRoot).

What I am seeking in my custom rom:

  1. Ability to move apps to SD
  2. Ability to use a SWAP partition for extra RAM
  3. Ability to use a partitioned SD Card
  4. Ability to continue to use my Cameras
  5. Ability to overclock my processor

With that in mind, I will tell you that GameTheory's Xperion ROM (latest version) won't work with my phone, I hit a boot loop, and I couldn't get the Freedom Kernel to boot for me either, it just ended up wiping my phone. To do this I used the TWRP Recovery TeamWin.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Have a good one!

Use CWM to flash Freedom first and remember to wipe dalvik cache first. It's all about luck, some people got it to work and others couldn't. Once you can get freedom, you should be able to get Xperion immediately after. Remember that freedom does change your aboot.img to the mtero pcs one so you can only boot into recovery using an app or the button combo volume down + power which does a factory reset and then boot into CWM afterwards.

Any suggestions on a ROM for the VM LG F3 with OTG enabled by default. I would like to have this along with MHL capabilities for HD screen mirroring. The device already rooted and still running LS720ZV7 and really don't want to update to V8.

Are there any roms that keep Qmenu (I rather like it) while also having swapped internal for external?

Thanks, AquaVolt. Helped me a lot. I think this thread should be updated (even though it's been a year). Downloading CWM from the playstore is not going to do any good with this phone. The img file below is needed.

Before you start:
How to get the files from steps 1-3 onto your external sd card?
Download them with your phone
OR turn USB debugging on your phone, plug it into your computer via USB. You may need to download a driver to get it to work, though.

1) Download Freedom Kernel zip and move it to the external sdcard:

2) Download Xperion ROM zip and move it to the external sdcard:
http://androidcreations.weebly.com/xperion-rom-f3.html

3) Follow these steps in the linked thread to get CWM and flash it:
http://androidforums.com/threads/vi...m-6-0-4-8-touch-for-the-lg-optimus-f3.842939/

4) Reboot into recovery (however that's done. I think Flashify had an option to do it easily) then:
Tap 'advanced': Clear Dalvik cache.
Go back, tap 'install from sd card': Install Freedom Kernel zip first
Then: Install Xperion ROM zip
Tap 'reboot system now'
