So after reading some articles that referenced some apps to back up their findings (ie. N1 multi-touch issue, EVO fps issue). I wanted to know if there were other apps like these that show off/analyze performance/features/issues/etc.

MultiTouch Visible Test - self explanatory
FPS2D - runs something to measure your screen FPS rate

OP Here...

Found a better multi-touch app, the results...upset me.

MultiTouch Visualizer 2

So the comments say that on the Desire, Droid, and Galaxy that 3 fingers can be identified. However on my DINC, only 2 register.

Maybe you knew this, but I thought this was a true multi-touch device, not dual-touch...

Oh well :( still LOVE the phone

The hardware supports up to 5 touches simultaneously, but that doesn't mean it has been enabled in the drivers yet.

I also use Nenamark and Linpack.

I knew about this but it doesn't bother me at all because I'm very happy with the dual-touch. I have no driving desire for three-finger recognition.

[addendum] I had not known that this was strictly a software issue. That being the case, true multi-touch could be enabled if really needed.
