Persistent, nagging notification for Calendar

Lobonca

Lurker
The one app I cannot find to work properly on my system (Droid Razr Maxx, Android v. 2.3.6) is a persistent, nagging notification of an appointment on my calendar.

I really like the Jorte Calendar and need something that works with that. I have tired "Calendar Event Reminder" and "Calendar Snooze" with both the system calendar and Jorte and both just ring once even though I have their settings to persistent, nagging mode. I need something that rings and rings and rings until I acknowledge it.

Your help is appreciated!

Thank you for your reply. Astrid looks more like a task manager. I need a persistent, nagging notification when there is an appointment on my calendar (preferably Jorte but I will settle for the system calendar)

I've been using my Missed Notification Reminder profiles with Tasker for over a year, and recently made my calendar reminder extremely nagging. It doesn't ring constantly - I have it set to ring every two minutes until the notification is cleared, but this behavior could be changed. Based on how the profiles work I'm sure it could be modified to work with any calendar app, but I don't know the details of what exactly would need to be done for the calendar app you want to use.

You can download a free 7-day trial of Tasker from the developer's web site, or get the paid version in the Android Market.

The Missed Notification Reminder profiles can be found in the Tasker Wiki.

The exact profiles I'm using now aren't there because I'm in the midst of modifying them, but I can help you out with it if you decide to go this route.
