Help Personal Settings Keep Reverting to Original

Hello,

I have had the HTC desire for three days. Everyday, in the afternoon I have set up my personal settings like the home screen and background. However, every night the phone resets itself back to the home screen, backgrounds, and panels that it came with. The phone isn't turned off over night and I'm not sure what time it does the reset but every morning it it back to the old look.

This is a very strange one - in fact I've never heard of this before. Turning off shouldn't do it anyway, because it's all stored in non-volatile flash memory.

If you are running stock HTC software, it has (if I remember) something called "scenes". Check the scene settings to make sure that it isn't set to change these automatically (e.g. at certain times), just in case it's reverting to pre-saved settings. And once you have your stuff set up the way you want, go into the scene settings and save your setup.

I hope I've remembered that stuff correctly: I only ran the HTC Sense software on the Desire for a couple of months back in 2010, then replaced it with custom software, so this was all a long time ago.

I take it that nothing else is changing (e.g. apps being uninstalled, messages going missing)?
