Root Personally my favorite app freezer

Okay, so a few days ago a stumbled upon an AMAZING app freezer and I hadn't heard anybody here talk about it so I'll go ahead and share it.

It's called App Quarantine, and it is SEXY! It's so simple and fluid that it's flawless. I prefer it over Titanium backup any day. You can't uninstall apps with it, but I don't like to do that anyways because I'm scared :)

There are two tabs- quarantined pps and non-quarantined apps. System apps are in red, user apps are in white. If you want to freeze(or "quarantine) and app, you just click on the checkmark box next to it(or them), and click the lock button in the upper right hand corner. It's brilliant.

Best of all, it's free and NO ADS! :D

Okay, that's all. Just thought I would share it.

was looking for something like this. im thinking of returning to the stock tot file with all apps so factory reset works. and using this i can freeze the bloat without removing it and causing factory to not work properly. until a real recovery we can use with a way to backup and restore comes along. i dont feel safe editing very much on my elite.

Factory reset works just fine.
The problem is with recoveries, not root.

As for freezing apps.
A bit of research should tell you if it's safe to remove, which is a better method in the long run.

Nice app. It keeps frozen apps nicely organized. The stock launcher didn't show up on the list though, so I had to freeze it with Gemini.

I'll just throw this out there.
This works if rooted; I do not remove factory installed apps or freeze them. I just rename the programs I do not want to extension .oldapk so they do not install.
If I need them back for some reason, back to extension .apk they go.....
Or make a new folder on your SD card and place the programs there....
