Root Petition against HTC

I'm sick and tired of being limited by the stock kernel. I've created a petition to stick in the face of HTC, but I don't know my shit around the GPL license, nor HTC.

I'm looking for a few people to help me out. One person who knows their shit when it comes to the open source licenses, and how HTC may or may not abide by them. Or two people, one for the license and one for HTC. I need at least one other person who is influential on android forums and other forums as well to post and/or start threads in HTC forums to tell people to sign the petition.

Please comment or PM me if you can help or have something to say. I understand that this may be flagged as spam, but I think it should be pretty safe so long as we keep it to HTC forums, so it at least stays relevant and applicable.

I'm down for the cause, I know what's up for the most part, & I know most of the big dogs from the triumph all things root section, it's where I started. That's were I learned how to build from source & all that it intails.

The Boost Design hasn't been out 90 days and that's typically been how long that take sometimes 120 days they have released source for Gingerbread for the other Kingdom variants so we have a little bit of a wait before there typical source release cycle.

My prior posts in this thread were uninformed.

?? what was it's release date ?
 
They still have a ways to go for this variant, but it can at least help with the earlier releases. Plus, this can't be their only phone that people beg them to release source code for. I'll send you guys PMs with login info for the petition and its link, so you're free to add what you know, and pass out the link where you wish.
 
i just really want to see a desensed rom for this phone.. i personally can't find the systemUI.apk in the phone that is actually in use, i find Systemui_old.apk but no systemui.apk, is there something im missing here?
 
I have yet to root this phone... but I am keeping a close eye out for some nice ROMs to be dev'ed up for this.. I have sorta became spoiled with CM ROMs myself on my other phones..so I might wait until someone ports/kangs etc. a CM to this phone, preferably the CM9 for starters :P I am still trying to learn all the functionality of this phone under the stock rom anyways... I am glad to see boost finally hit 4G... I am not sure about other peoples areas but it's now $55 a month starting on the shrinkage plan as well... anyways a big kudos to the ones already developing ROMs like 2Fast4U and Jayy Dogg sorry if I mispelled the names..
