Phandroid eating my battery?

Just thought I'd throw this out there...attached is a screenshot of my battery usage by the Phandroid app. Notice that almost all usage was background sync'ing, and it used 9% of my battery during my lunch hour! Google Maps was another nasty one (11% usage)...and of course the screen was the big power muncher...but:

Shame on you Phandroid for having your default app settings like this:

I find going into news and turning off "tracing news" and into forums and disabling "pm notifications" helps.

That's my point...they shouldn't be enabled by default. Tracing News, Auto Sync and PM Notification were all turned off and battery usage is now down tremendously.
