Phandroid forum app data usage

[jaybo1973]

Hi all

I was checking my data usage for the month and the phandroid app as used 100mb in a month. I would mind if I constantly used it but I don't. If I do ever use it, it is on WiFi because both home and work have wireless networks.. what is it doing?

I like to know that too. I use a task killer and it never kills it, it comes back on as soon as I kill. so its never dead.

Task killers are counterproductive. You may want to read a little bit about them.

yes I know that I was just giving a "as for" I know the apps start backup its just that that app will not die it starts up straight back up instantly

It is a big problem if you are on a data plan. 100mb 's quite a chunk and for what

Unfortunately, the Phandroid forum app is no longer maintained. It was kinda buggy and a known CPU Hog. I don't recall data usage ever being an issue (it certainly wasn't for me anyway), but that's not to say it doesn't effect different handsets in different ways.

We're on tapatalk now and I think forumrunner too if you want to use either of those as alternatives? I know they're paid apps, but it's better than burning through your data allowance.
