Phandroid.....I am calling you out on your BS

Okay Phandroid....what did you do and did you really think I would buy this BS?

You removed the Galaxy S3 quick link from the top 5 phones listing at the top of the forums page and replaced it with the Galaxy S5. So how can the Galaxy S5 be one of the top 5 phones? Has it made the top 5 in sales? Well lets see.....how can that be....it hasn't even been released to market yet? Is it in the top 5 phones with the most traffic/forum posts to its forums? Get real! The Galaxy S4 who has been out in the market for almost a year now (and who also happens to be listed in that top 5 phones listing) doesn't even come close to the overall traffic/postings that the Galaxy S3 forum has. So explain to me....how is a phone that hasn't even been released to market a top 5 phone? Shouldn't that top 5 phone listing be based on the traffic/forum postings that the phone has on your site? After all, the top 5 phone listing is a quick link to the most popular forums (or at least that is what it should be). Do the right thing and take away that BS listing for a phone that isn't even on the market yet and give the largest and most active community of forum users on your site our well deserved quick link back.

I've moved your post to the Suggestions Box & Feedback forum, this is the best place for you to make Admin aware of any issues you have with the listings at the top of the page/any aspect of the forum.

Sorry it's frustrated you so much.

If you're looking for a quick link, do you know you can set your favourite forums using the options at the left hand side of the page?

Sorry for the trouble we caused ya making that choice. :( As El Pres mentioned, that is precisely what the Favorites Forum feature is for - and we use the Top 5 to try to:

1) give quick access to commonly used forums,
and / or
2) try to help get a soon to be popular forum moving

It's all about decisions, and in this case we thought getting a jump start on featuring that forum would be a good idea.

Maybe a different forum could have been chosen for the removal - I know darn well the S3 is a super popular device - but Rob and I had a quick back and forth and this was the result.

I will of course be passing along the feedback. Do appreciate it - hope you find the Favorites Forum feature helpful in this regard.

In response to the OP ... I found the lists to be quire "troublesome" and had to scroll over them every time I entered the page.

There was an option added to hide them ... go to ...
User CP | Edit Options | Miscellaneous Options
... and ...
This is to enable or disable the Top Five quick links at the top of the home page.
Select Hide

(It is the very last option)
