Phicomm FWS 710 Pro eventually bricked

Hi Phandroid forums,

I already asked for help on XDA developers in this thread and in an Android Q&A thread, but haven't received an answer.
The Feixun/Phicomm support was also contacted, but they did not reply.
So you are my last hope.

I am not sure, if the smartphone is bricked or not, but here is the problem:
When the phone starts up, it's stuck at the Phicomm logo.
It does not get past the boot animation and the recovery menu doesn't work anymore either.

Trying to recover it with adb, [AIO] Universal Android Flasher and SP FlashTool,
installing USB drivers with 2 different tools if I remember correctly, didn't solve the problem.

Here are the technical details I could gather from the website:
Manufacturer: Shanghai Feixun Communication Co. Ltd.
Brand: Phicomm
Model: FWS 710 Pro
OS: Android 4.0.4
CPU: Qualcomm MSM7227A 1GHz
Memory RAM: 512MB + ROM: 512MB
MicroSD car slot up to 32GB

The smartphone is rooted, if that matters at all.

It's only documented, how the original update.zip file from the website located here (in the "Downloads" tab) can be uploaded to the phone with help of the recovery menu, but not how that works without it, thus I am completely at loss.

Please, Phandroid. There must be a way!

The reason you're not getting responses from forums is that there's no documentation on these Chinese devices, so it would take months of fooling with one to get the information needed to start at the point that we start with using a Motorola, Samsung or similar device. And since no one is getting paid to do this sort of thing, no one is going to bother. (People with the knowledge and experience to suss out a device normally don't buy cheap Chinese devices.)

The reason the company hasn't answered you is that they have no reason to. They already got paid when the ship left the dock. If they get a bad rep, they'll be selling under a different name next week.

If you can't get in to recovery to do anything with the zip file, I'm not sure there's anything that can be done, sorry.

Does the phone register via ADB at all, or is it completely unresponsive?

It was responsive before this incident, but now it's not.
The only sign of life (maybe), is that the USB driver of the device gets properly installed as adb fastboot.

So, I guess that's it?

The device is probably dead.

Too bad, really.

Even though the smartphone didn't cost much, I hoped that there is some way to recover it aside from JTAG techniques etc.

I thank you both El Presidente and Rukbat for answering.
