Root phone acting wierd after rooting it! help?

Hi. Im new here and also new to smartphones.(specially the rooting part).. well you see i think i rooted my phone succesfully.. after rooting it , i downloaded sslauncher and gingerbread launcher... After i tried to custumize them, i unistalled them both.. now my phone acts weird.. when i try to open some of the apps, it says app not installed on the pbone.. wtf??... No i cant even open up the markwt app!!.. it just pops up a window and then it closes!!.. can you guys helpme fix this problems??.. one thing if it helps i did not buy the phone brand new.. it was used .. ihad android version 2.3.3....... Htc version 2.1 ... More baseband kernel version....

Plz .. how do i get my phone to run normally??

Ive done reboot.. didnt work.
Do i.have.to unroot it to perform a factory reset??.if i dont have to unroot it, i perform a factory reset.. will it not m essup the phone??
Thanks for trying to help... ive post on different forums since saturda and not a single answer...
