Phone as modem/proxy

Hi there,


What I'd like to do if possible is, I have a internet connection and I'd like to configure the phone connected via USB through PC and use another browser throught phone Internet, Firefox per ex. to surf the net via phone wifi (since I can have a network wifi on phone and use that as modem to PC, but only on firefox)

does anyone know how to do this ?

You can use your phone as a router (wireless or via USB cable) to connect your laptop or desktop machine to the internet.
Goto Settings > More... > Tethering and portable hotspot > portable WiFi hotspot.

Caveat:
although the wireless connection via a portable WiFi hotspot from the phone to the laptop or desktop machine is a WiFi connection, the connection from the phone to the internet will be via mobile networks! Affecting your monthly dataplan!

You will want to investigate in apps for tethering, it may be possible for you to tether without using apps depending on your phone modele.

Another caveat:
* Some operators will make it very hard for you to tether - even if you have an unlimited data plan !!
