Update 05-23-12 the phone seems to reset/request pin every morning at around 9:30am(around same time as yesterday) will monitor

Hello everyone,
First I'll like to say that I have searched the forums under "pin lock" and didn't find anything related. Additionally visited the recommended threads automatically given while creating this thread.

Here's the issue. I've had the phone for about a week(Tmobile t989, not hacked/rooted/etc). I requested the sim card pin lock(not screen lock) from Tmo in order to set mine up. Did so about 3-4 days ago. Ever since that the phone has been booting itself to the pin lock screen almost daily. Today was the first day I took note of the time/apps were running/etc.

I had called Tmo tech support, they didn't have any solution. They said to do a battery pull. If that fails then then do a factory reset and run without any marketplace/amazon appstore apps.

Battery pull didn't work as it happened again this morning. I really do not want to reset the phone.

Any thoughts and tips greatly appreciated

Try under Location and Security SIM Card lock and uncheck lock SIM Card.

That's not a solution. I came to find out that the S2 has issues rebooting and SIM Pin lock is just an innocent bystander that proves the phone to have rebooted.

So technically now it's a rebooting issue, not a pin issue.
