Phone broke and not fixed by SE

Well my phone has a very strange issue and still has this issue even though its been off for repair.

Now what happens is that no matter what Im doing the phone will lock up (freeze) then restart itself. It will then boot up sometimes getting to the SE logo or sometimes all the way into android but then it restarts again. It will do this for a long time.

Now Mr Sony has had a look all he did was reflash it to the exact same firmware I had and the fault still happens.

Spoke to SE who said that the phone has to go back in for repair again which Im not happy about at all.

Now does anyone else have a similar problem?

Also would like to add that the mem card is formatted and has nothing other than my contacts and Ive tried taking it out and using another battery. Also the phone is standard. Only Orange UK software on it.

Hopefully the people trying to 'repair' the phone have tried reflashing using the generic x10 software and not just the Orange x10 software. Hopefully they tried to update to a newer version as well (newer than Orange has provided to their customers)

But to answer your question....no. I have 3 friends with the x10 and none of them have encountered any problems like this.

My buddy just got an Xperia Arc a couple days ago....gave that a test drive...it is real nice too....lighter....newer version of Android....faster.

well...had the same issue, if i used the phone for more than 6-7 mins, it would overheats and shut down, this was very frustrating when i was playing games. Later on it started doing this also on Videos, music and call...enough! I had the choice to send it to repair or get a replacement unit. Chose the Replacement, really don't trust the repairs...wich i knew they would only flash it instead of changing the MotherBoard.

By the way, they've sent me a refurbished unit...and it does the same...overheats and shut down...at least i can use the phone for 30+ mins before it does that. The first occasion i will get myself the Arc.

I donno....my x10 has been running fine for over 40 days now and hasn't restarted and I haven't restarted it or anything and it is still working real smooth.

Although a lot of people blame things on hardware, more than 90 percent of the time, it is a software issue. Although how some of these repair places flash the phone....they don't even do a good job....then again, they are probably just following orders from the carrier and Sony.

Well it looks like my phone is even worse. Multi-touch is not working as well. Looks like theyve gone a messed it good and proper.

Well i know for sure that it was not really software related since i've wiped the device quite often to see if it would solve the problem and as said before it would crash even on calls (well not really ON the call but as i sled the lock to answer and the phone just shuts down),

Right now with my new device i just installed the pure basic apps that i use, a browser (dolphin HD), a messaging app (Hancent SMS), a GPS ( Google Nav), a Banking app and 3 of the games that i use the most, nothing else, and even though it still does it from time to time,
anyway
