Help Phone/Call button problem

Press the "Phone" button/app w/e you want to call it takes me to a screen with:

Keypad, Logs, Favorites, Contacts.

When I press Logs, it shows the logs of ALL my messages (to whom and from whom) and calls. How can I make it display only calls?

If I menu button, and go to "View By" I can choose, but it is only temporary, when I leave the menu it reverts to all, and it only has options for "Received Calls" "Calls made" etc..

The "phone/call" button on most Android OS devices does indeed take the user to those tabs by default.

One way to change those things is to root the device and flash a custom ROM.

This model is in the development stages as for rooting.. but you can keep up with things here:
