Help Phone call locks screen

[JabeSmith]

This is a truly annoying 'feature'. My phone has auto screen lock after 30 mins with a password to unlock. I can be using my phone, go to the phone dialer, dial a number and have a chat for a minute or two, and when the call is over I notice that the screen has gone into locked mode. Not after 30 mins, but when I make a call.

It is doubly annoying because I might dial a number, get an engaged tone and hang up, and then try to re-dial a moment later but then have to unlock the screen first.

Anyone else seen this? Is this a 'feature' of Galaxy S3, or Android, or Android on Galaxy S3?

Am on Android 4.3 on a Galaxy S3.

Hi - has no-one else seen this behaviour and/or know how to stop it happening? Do I need to provide more info?

I may be wrong, but I think that is a new security feature. If you let someone make a call on your phone, they can not get back into it to do anything else.

Really? I haven't seen that documented anywhere.

All changes are not documented. It is very hard to find any change log for android.
