Help phone call screen

OK I wonder if Im the only one with this problem...but my prevail's screen WILL NOT stay off when im on the phone with results in my calls being ended, and put on speaker, and put on mute when my face is to the phone. What can I do to correct this issue.

That's the thing....even when I hit the power button and the screen goes off it somehow comes back on while my face is to the phone

It shouldn't unless you hit the power button again. You may have some setting mess up too. That's definitely weird then. I would check your settings I think there's a call setting the phone stays on when in a call. You'll have to turn that off.

If you can't get it figured out then reflash the ROM because the screen should be staying off after you hit the power button. If it's staying on then something isn't right and may even lead more problems.
