Help phone calls

Hey guys!
I'm havjng a problem when answering my streak the screen will black out for a few seconds and then it will show me whos calling and then blackout again. Then at the end of my conversations it wont let me hang up. Does anyone else have an issue like this. Should I call dell or take it back to best buy to exchange it out?

There is a sensor on the front of the phone that is used to turn off the display when it is held against the face.
So if the is covered is some way (possibly the way you are holding the phone) or gets in the way the screen will not display and you can't do any input.

This might sound dumb but if the screen is black - how do you hang up? Is pushing the "end" button on the screen the only way to hang up a call?
 
You can press the button on the side that you use to turn it on normally and it will bring the display back and then be able to hit the end button. I don't know if any of the other hard keys will hang up a call or if there are any Apps that will change the settings to hang it up some other way.
 
Hey fellow awesome streak owners, imm a big fan of the streak, n e ways...not tryin to intrude on the streak forums, but i had the same problem withh my droid 2 , couldnt tell whos callin or when you culd hang up etc,....i tried the app SCREEBL...try searching it on the market....it should help with th screen sensor with the movements from displacing the cell fromt the ear after the call, the screen shluld ppopp up..etc....let me know if that works for u guys !
