Help Phone cant see sd card

Hi all, just got myself a galaxy S3 and I do like the phone very much I also got myself a Samsung 32gb sd card but the phone cant see it. I have tried to fomat it which it seems to do but still the phone thinks its not there.
I can load stuff from my pc on to it ie photos and I can see them on the phone but cannot transfer any files etc from phone to card. Can someone help please.

What on-phone app are you using to attempt the transfers?

Samsung, in their infinite wisdom, changed the mount location for the external SD card so some apps aren't presently able to "see it". Astro has been fine for me so far.

I have both ES File Manager and Astro, Astro sees my card ES doesn't
Plus there is a app that comes with the phone called My Files and you should see your card in there.

Using apps2sd but it cannot see sd card. Downloaded Astro but when you look at sd card that seems to be the phone the real sd card is shown as extSdCard

Apps2SD won't work since Samsung changed the mount location of the external card. No reason to move apps to SD in ICS anyways, the whole internal storage is available for app installation.
