Help Phone charge drop from 15 percent to 1 percent when chatger is plugged

The has never happened to me becore.

But 10 minutes ago, i plugged my chargee to my phone and the percent went 15 percent to 1 percent right before my eyes i 2 seconds.

I checked for damage from wires and port and phone still okay

Battery of m y phone now is 6 percent

What could be the cause of this
