Help Phone contact problem

Hi,

The contacts function of my phone has failed and it gives me this error message "The application Phone (process com.sec.android.app.dialertab) has stopped undexpectedly. Please try again" every time I tried to look up the contacts list in dialing or texting. The contact information in the SIM card is good becasue I'm able to see them from Kies or on another phone.

I tried the factory data reset in the privacy tab but it did not resolve the problem, my phone is still running the original Samsung Android 2.1 software and I did not change anything.

Does anyone have a solution?

I found that the contacts application has disappeared from my idle mode screen, I remember I used it before but I can't find it in the application list now. Is there any way to download the contact application back to the phone? My firmware version is I5801ZHJH1 and the ROM image is not available at SamFirmware.com.
