Help Phone Contacts

I am unable to use only the phone contacts and hid the sim contacts. All i want to do is copy call my sim contact to phone memory { which i am able to do } and hide the sim contacts so that i can add picture to several contacts that i need. It is so annoying when i see all the gmail contacts get stored in phone an not the phone contacts. And i am not able to make groups in contact too. Please suggest what needs to be done

go to contacts, select "more" in options and then click on >>display options..

there in the end you will have "select contacts to display"... here you can configure contacts you want to display...
