Phone crashed and is now constantly vibrating

Hi, I was using my Samsung Galaxy S2 when it suddenly crashed. I went to turned it back on and it is now constantly vibrating although it is still turned off. I think it is some software problem. It is not the battery.

I am going to bring it into Koodo next week and it might take a couple more weeks to repair. I'm wondering if there is a way I can fix it myself at home.

I think it is connected to a problem I had with my phone a couple months ago.-

Thanks

Even though the battery is not at fault, have you tried removing the battery to force a hard reboot of the software?

pull the battery and try again. i've had some freeze at some screen and a BlackBerry-style battery pull was all i could do to revive them. sometimes they do the constant vibrate motor crash too for some reason.
