Phone dead. Data recovery ?

Hi. Hope someone can help me out.
Wife has (had) a S10+ which got smashed today. Smashed to the point that it won't even switch on.
Is there a way that we can retrieve the stuff that was on the 'phone that wasn't on the memory card ?
Photos, texts, contacts etc

Any advice would be gratefully accepted.
Cheers.

if you had google photos setup, your photos will be fine. and unless you backed everything up before it got smashed you should be fine. if not to both of those then you might be sol......sorry

If the phone is completely smashed, probably only thing that can be done is trying forensic chip-off data recovery of the internal flash chip. Extremely expensive, costs hundreds or thousands, and is the sort of thing that might be done by the FBI. Is the phone's actual logic board still intact and functioning, or is that been broken as well?

Something like Drive Savers.

Google photos only backs up when you open the app, and by default only over WiFi. So if she's not opened it recently that will explain it.

No retrieval process you can perform yourself will work if the phone won't power up. Exactly what is required will depend on what is broken (in particular whether the motherboard would still work or not).

Well, if you have a backup of your data that were on your dead phone then its easy to restore them from backup. Its a general thing to come across a dead screen issue but what matter is the data stored on it. But if you don't have a backup then you should look for a professional recovery tool that can help to recover lost data from dead phone. There are many online software available to help you recover data from dead Android phone.
