Help Phone dialing wrong number from Call Log

I've noticed this at least three times so its surely not my imagination.

Sometimes when using the Call Log to phone someone that has recently called, the phone calls another number.

I'm pretty sure I hit the right icon each and every time this happend - next to the number I wanted to call, however the phone just dials another number.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Yes, same thing happened to me few times.

It happens to all android phones... My mates Desire's do the girlfriends Galaxy does it and my X10 has too. Although I have noticed it tends to happen when I have loads of texts (800-1000) or the best one, I send a text out and it goes to the right person but comes up with another contact or vice versa a text comes in and it has the wrong contact name.

may be u hve wrongly joined contcts wid ur fb account....:O

surely not, it dialed numbers that i've never saved and which are surely not present of a fb account.

Yes, this happens to me too. Old phone occasionally mixed contacts. try to call Jim, it dials mom, and vice versa. Try home, it calls dad. Always same two. That phone touch screen quit working, just got replacement. Tried redialing last call (forgot to give pizza hut my card number) and it dialed Victor instead. His contact wasn't even a recent call.
Told clerk at verizon store about it and he says he's never heard of the issue, and I must have pressed wrong. I showed him my list, contacts aren't even close to each other, can't even see both at the same time.
Can this be fixed? IM tired of telling people I valued them by mistake. Makes me look unprofessional.
