Phone discharges while being used and charging {solved}

If I were using my phone while it charged, the charge would actually decrease, and charging took forever.

I figured out the problem: The USB cable.

If you have a newer phone, you need a wall wart that outputs at least 5v and 1amp of current, but you also need a USB cable that can handle that amount of current.

The wall wart (wall charger) that comes with the Huawei Premia is fine, but the skinny micro USB cable can't handle over 500ma amps.

I switched to a thicker cable and now my current (via Currentwidget) hits 600-700ma. The phone now charges even when running Google+ hangout (multiple video streaming, processing, and screen always on).

THANK YOU. i was wondering why if I used my phone with data consistantly and multitask this would happen. I have a charger from a older phone that has a thicker wire as you said and when I connect it to my phone it seems to fix the problem. And here I was thinking it had something to do with the battery being too hot to charge. I have a hybrid case on this sucker and it gets pretty hot if I'm torr--uh watching videos on youtube. >)
