Help Phone disconnects when trying to upgrade

I started Keis today, which I haven't done in a while, and told me to upgrade Kies to 2.0.0.11032_12. So far so good, then when I started it, it says my phone had an firmware upgrade available from JL2 to KC1. But once I get the upgrade about to start, it says the phone got disconnected. I have reboot, restarted several times, but keep getting the same disconnect.

Anyone else getting this or figured out how to fix it? Is this the new way to say I can't upgrade yet?

BTW, what version is KC1?

Probably just another 2.2.1 firmware. No 2.3.3 firmware for the I9000M yet.

I am also running into this disconnect issue with Kies as well.

Were you able to resolve this issue?
