Help phone doesn't play gif files

my galaxy spica with android 2.1 doesn't play .gif files. what is the problem?

mine is still on 1.5 and won't play .gif files, only shows the still pic. could just be that they can't play at all on androids (could be wrong though!)

yeah i've starte to think so. because there is the same problem for many androids and no one knows why...

I suspect its something along the lines of no flash, no animation. Get a firmware our a phone that has flash/http5 support and I bet the issue will be resolved.
