Help phone doesn't turn on

How do I do a factory reset on a ZTE Avid 4G phone? The phone went dead and I put it on a charger. After it was fully charged (I checked with a voltage tester) I tried to turn it on but it would not power on at all. There is no response except at the beginning the LED would turn on red for about 15-20 seconds then turn off when I plugged it up and pulled the battery and then put it back in. Now it doesn't do anything at all. It doesn't vibrate or anything. Just wondering if there is anything I can do for this phone that is less than half a year old before I decide it is nothing more than a brick.

It should be under warranty. Contact the carrier.

Factory reset is hold down the power button and down volume button at same time from off position. Phone will boot into factory recovery. Once there is volume buttons to move up and down and power to select. If you can boot into this, try and wipe cache and data, then reboot. Good luck.
