phone encryption problems

Hi,



I tried to encrypt my Razr Maxx running Android 4.1.2 OS so I can add my corporate email account.



I had the screen pin set. After I started the encryption, I get the message "preparing to encrypt files on your phone." It never reboots, just hangs for hours and nothing ever happened.



Any help is greatly appreciated.

To start with, we'd need to know the type of email server the company is using, the email program you're running in your phone and the type of encryption the company is using.

Your IT department is probably a lot better set up to help you get it set up than we are.

I'm just trying to use the encryption under settings/security and screen lock/data encryption. I don't even get to the email install. The phone is supposed to reboot to start the encryption. It never does.
